Gostisbehere had to leave Saturday’s game in Toronto with a potential head injury after being blasted from behind by Leo Komarov. With Gostisbehere out, Robert Hagg is skating on the top-pairing with Ivan Provorov and Provorov is on the top power-play unit. Either Samue Morin or Mark Alt will draw into the lineup to game Gostisbehere’s spot.

Gostisbehere served as a healthy scratch in the last three games, but will draw back into the lineup tonight after the Flyers were shutout in two straight games. Gostisbehere had a sensational rookie campaign, but has had some struggles in 2016-17. The man known as the “Ghost Bear” has four goals and 17 assists (21 points) in 48 games this season.

Gostisbehere left Thursday’s game with a lower-body injury and will not play on Saturday. Brandon Manning will get back into the lineup with Gostisbehere out. He is expected to be evaluated over the next 24 hours and a detailed injury report should be released on Saturday.

The Flyers have recalled Shayne Gostisbehere from Lehigh Valley (AHL).

Gostisbehere, 22, has scored two goals with eight assists (10 points) in 14 games with Lehigh Valley. Gostisbehere failed to record a point in two games with the Flyers last season. He will make his season debut on Saturday, replacing Mark Streit, who is out for six weeks.

Gostisbehere, 21, was the Flyers third round pick (78th overall) in 2012. The 5-foot-11, 170 lbs. D-man has two assists in three games in his first full year in the AHL. He is expected to make his NHL debut on Saturday vs. the Red Wings because of an injury to Andrew MacDonald.
