Sidney Crosby will be skating on his own in PIT today.
Crosby was spotted making tape-to-tape passes with the other Penguins' wounded. Good news that he's back on the ice although his timetable remains indefinite.
The diagnosis of Dr. Robert S. Bray, a neurological spine specialist based in Los Angeles, is that Sidney Crosby had suffered a neck injury in addition to a concussion. Dr. Bray reports that the neck injury is fully healed. Those findings will be evaluated by independent specialists over the next few days. The most important goal all along has been Sidney's return to full health, and we are encouraged that progress continues to be made.?
More news on the severity of his injury but no hint on when he'll be making his return. Hopefully, we find out Sid is ready to go after visiting specialists.

Engelland draws back into the lineup and should give the top four a bit of a rest. The former enforcer has turned into more of a two-way defender with two goals and 10 points over 32 games. More importantly, he has only 30 PIM through those same 32 games.

Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Deryk Engelland has been suspended for 3 games.
Engelland has cleaned up his game and established himself as a player in the NHL with two goals and 10 points over 32 shots. However, he will not be available to play with the Pens until December 31st.
No word on Sid.
Crosby remains sidelined indefinitely as no news is definitely bad news. The captain will make sure all of his symptoms subside before stepping back onto the ice.
"Not (feeling) bad. I'm not happy about watching, but I have to make sure with these sort of things that I'm careful and making sure I'm 100 percent before coming back,” Crosby said. “No timetable (for return).?"
Crosby obviously calls the shots with regards to when he plays or doesn't. Once again, when he returns is completely up to him.
