Martin entered Friday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs in relief, saving 16 of 19 shots (.842 SV%) in an eventual 6-5 victory, but has not started a game since December 7th, when he allowed seven goals on 36 shots (.806 SV%) in a 7-3 loss to the New York Islanders. Martin is slated to start on Tuesday against the Boston Bruins, who he was terrific against on November 27th, saving 31 of 33 shots (.939 SV%) in a 5-2 victory. That said, the Blue Jackets are still sizeable +196 home underdogs against a Bruins team that has outscored their opposition 14-6 over their last three games (3-0-0).

Martin will start the front end of a back-to-back for the Blue Jackets on Thursday when they visit the New York Islanders. Martin has been decent when called upon this season, posting a 3.20 GAA and .902 SV% through 10 games (2-6-1). That said, he has a .876 SV% and only one win in his past five games (1-4-0), an inevitability when netminding for the ninth-worst offence in the league (2.85 GF / GP). The Blue Jackets are +160 road underdogs against the Islanders, who defeated them 3-0 in their only other matchup this season.
