Andrighetto is expected to be a healthy scratch for Game 6.

Andrighetto dressed in Matt Calvert’s place in Game 5 but is expected to be a healthy scratch on Monday. Patrik Nemeth is expected to replace Andrighetto and dress as a seventh defenseman for Colorado.

Andrighetto has missed the last six games with a lower-body injury, but will replace Matt Nieto on the Colorado fourth line. Andrighetto has moved up and down the lineup this season so don’t be surprised if he sees some middle-6 ice-time during the game. He has just one goal on 12 shots in six games this season.

Andrigetto had eight goals and 14 assists (22 points) in 50 games with the Avalanche last season. The 25-year-old winger will replace Sheldon Dries and skate on Colorado’s fourth line with Vladislav Kamenev and Gabriel Bourque.

The Avalanche have re-signed Sven Andrighetto to a two-year extension worth $2.8M ($1.4M AAV).

Andrighetto was acquired from the Canadiens for Andreas Martinsen at the trade deadline and recorded 15 points (5G / 10A) in 19 games after the trade. The undersized winger has registered 18 goals and 27 assists (45 points) in his last 46 AHL games, which showcases the offensive ability that he possesses.

The Avalanche have acquired Sven Andrighetto from the Canadiens for Andreas Martinsen.

Andrighetto has split his time between the AHL and NHL this season. He had eight points (2G / 6A) in 27 games with the Canadiens and 22 points (8G / 14A) in 20 games with St. John’s. The Canadiens were looking to get bigger so the moved a small forward in Andrighetto for a bigger player in Martinsen.

Andrighetto, 23, has appeared in eight games with the Canadiens this season, registering two assists. The 23-year-old has picked up 22 points (8G / 14A) with the IceCaps and he is expected to be in the lineup on Friday wit Brendan Gallagher sidelined.
