Teuvo Teravainen News

Teravainen was on the ice for the morning skate but remains a game-time decision in Boston. Head coach Rod Brind'Amour said he expects Teravainen to play but it's not 100 percent.

Teravainen is still not ready to go for Tuesday's game in Ottawa, missing his fourth consecutive game due to a lower-body injury. While Teravainen has been sidelined, Jordan Martinook has been skating on the Hurricanes' top line.

The Hurricanes were hoping that the All-Star break would help Teravainen's lower-body injury but he remains questionable for Monday's game in Toronto. With Jesperi Kotkaniemi landing in COVID-19 protocol on Sunday, the Hurricanes may have to call someone up or dress seven defensemen if Teravainen can't play.

Teravainen missed Saturday's game in New Jersey but has been on the ice for Monday's practice and Tuesday's morning skate, but remains a game-time decision for tonight's game vs. Vegas. Monitor Teravainen's status when the Hurricanes hit the ice for warmups at 6:30 PM ET.

Teravainen returned to the Hurricanes lineup over the weekend but was scratched Sunday and is expected to miss his second straight game on Tuesday. Brock McGinn and Jordan Martinook are expected to remain with Sebastian Aho with Teravainen sidelined.

Teravainen has missed the last seven games with a concussion but appears poised to return to the lineup on Thursday. Teravainen skated with Sebastian Aho and Andrei Svechnikov in the morning skate, so he should be active with a plus matchup with the Red Wings in town.

Teravainen reportedly "doesn't feel right" so he'll miss his second straight game with an upper-body injury. With Teravainen out on Saturday, Steven Lorentz replaced him in the lineup and Andrei Svechnikov replaced him on the top line.

Teravainen has been out since January 18th but is set to return to the lineup Tuesday in Chicago. Teravainen missed time on the COVID-19 reserve list but should re-claim his spot on the Hurricanes' top-line with Sebastian Aho on Tuesday.

Teravainen was activated on Friday and was on the ice for an optional practice, suggesting that he could be available for Saturday's home game vs. the Stars. Teravainen figures to reclaim his spot on the top line next to Sebastian Aho and enters play with two assists in three games this season.
