Meier should also bolster their top power-play unit, which is currently 19th in the NHL (20.5%).


Meier missed the Sharks' previous game due to an upper-body injury and will stay out of the lineup Thursday as they take on Nashville. The 26-year-old is San Jose's main trade chip at the moment and is having an incredibly strong season with 31 goals, 21 assists, 255 SOG, -19 plus/minus and 25 PIMs across 57 games prior to the injury.
