Plekanec has traveled back to Montreal for personal reasons.

Plekanec will start the season on the Habs second line with Galchenyuk and Gionta. With the combination of speed, skill and experience on this line they could make some early fantasy noise if they play well together.

Plekanec could potentially be the Canadiens first-line center, if he wins that job it will increase his fantasy value. He could reach 30 points this season which could be a decent late round addition or waiver pickup.

Used on the point for the Canadiens’ Thursday night matchup against the Bolts, Plekanec took a lot of positives away from the experience.
Plekanec produced 18 points on the PP last season and 24 the season before. The playmaking center is expected to center the top line and could return to the 70 point range with help from his wingers. Expect a productive season from Plekanec.
