Trevor Daley News

The Penguins acquired Trevor Daley from the Blackhawks for Rob Scuderi.

Daley, 32, had six assists but did not score a goal in 29 games with the Blackhawks this season, his first since being traded from the Stars. Daley will help the Penguins with their breakout as well as on their power-play. The Penguins will retain 33 percent of Scuderi’s $3 million salary.

Daley could be out “weeks” after a knee-on-knee collision on Tuesday.

Daley was caught knee-on-knee by Islanders forward Matt Martin early in Tuesday’s 3-2 win. The Stars have already lost Tyler Seguin to a knee-on-knee collision and now they may have lost arguably their best defenseman for “weeks.” The Stars sit nine points out of a Wild Card spot and this all but ruins their playoff chances.
