Rask allowed two goals on 19 shots in the Bruins win over the Senators on Saturday. Rask has not lost in regulation in his last 11 starts, going 10-0-1 with a 1.97 GAA, .923 SV% and two shutouts. Rask and Jaroslav Halak have been alternating games recently, so tonight will be just his fifth start in February. Rask has won three straight while allowing just five goals on 82 shots (.939 SV%) and now sits fourth in the NHL in GAA (2.36), seventh in SV% (.922) and tied for 15th in wins (17). Rask stopped all 24 shots that he faced in the Bruins shutout win in Washington on Sunday. In his last 10 starts, Rask has not lost in regulation, going 7-0-2 with a 1.70 GAA, .942 SV% and two shutouts. Rask has been on a tear and tonight he faces the Islanders for the second time—he stopped 28 of 29 shots in a 2-1 shoutout win over them in late-November.

“Good chance” that Rask (concussion) will be available on Thursday.
Rask missed Tuesday’s game against the Jets but was on the ice for Wednesday’s practice and is expected to be available for Thursday’s game. Monitor Rask’s status during the Bruins morning skate to see if he will start or backup Jaroslav Halak.

The Bruins have placed Tuukka Rask (concussion) on IR.
Rask was forced to leave the Bruins game vs. the Rangers back on January 19th following a collision with Filip Chytil in which Rask sustained a concussion. The Bruins moved him to IR and turn things over the Jaroslav Halak in the immediate future. Zane McIntyre has been recalled from Providence (AHL) to serve as Halak’s backup on Tuesday.
