Tucker was a healthy scratch in two of his last three games and will sit in the press box once again on Friday, allowing Robert Bortuzzo to draw back into the Blues' lineup. The 23-year-old returns to Springfield, where he had three goals, 18 assists, 77 PIMs and a +18 plus/minus through 39 games prior to his call-up.





Tucker has one assist, 12 SOG and 10 PIMs through 12 games so far in his rookie season but will be a healthy scratch Thursday as St. Louis takes on Arizona. Calle Rosen will replace Tucker in the Blues' lineup.


The 22-year-old defensemen will head back to Springfield (AHL) as it was announced Wednesday that veteran Robert Bortuzzo would be returning from the injured reserve (upper body). Tucker enjoyed a brief four-game spell with the Blues prior to his demotion, failing to pick up any points but picking up four shots while playing limited minutes.

With the announcement that Colton Parayko would not be able to go Wednesday, Tyler Tucker will slot right into his position on the Blues' top defensive unit for his NHL debut vs. Chicago.

Tucker was having a strong start to his season in Springfield (AHL) prior to his promotion, with a goal and six assists and a +7 plus/minus in 11 games played. He has yet to play a game in the NHL so will make his career debut when he is slotted into the Blues' lineup.

Tucker was a seventh-round pick in 2018 and finished the 2019-20 OHL season eighth among defensemen with 56 points (17G / 39A) in 55 games between the Barrie Colts and Flint Firebirds. He will likely report to San Antonio (AHL) when he turns pro.
