Barrie does however return with the Avs playing their best hockey of the season and should help to keep them rolling.

Barrie broke his hand before the Christmas break and after being evaluated the Avalanche decided it’s best that he will undergo surgery. Barrie will be sidelined for at least one month, so don’t expect to see him until late-January/early-February.
