Philipp Grubauer is out with an illness on Tuesday, so Ostman will take his spot on the Kraken bench. Joey Daccord will start for the second time in as many nights.

Ostman is an undrafted Swedish goalie that has yet to play an NHL game. The 24-year-old netminder has a 2.00 GAA and .927 SV% in four games with the Coachella Valley Firebirds (AHL) this season (2-1-1).

Ostman is an undrafted 23-year-old out of Sweden who has played collegiate hockey for the last four seasons with the University of Maine. His 2023-24 campaign consisted of a 2.81 GAA and .892 SV% in 21 games (13-6-1).
