Trocheck was acquired from the Panthers on Monday and will draw right into Erik Haula's spot on Tuesday. Trocheck, who has 36 points (10G / 26A) in 55 games this season, will have Nino Niederreiter and Martin Necas on his wings in his debut. He'll likely see PP2 time as well.

Carolina will hope Trocheck can regain some of the elite form he flashed in the 2017-18 season, when he racked up a career high 75 points (31G/44A). Trocheck hasn't quite looked like himself since suffering a fractured ankle in November 2018. The 26-year-old has 10 goals and 26 assists through 55 games this season.

Trocheck has missed the last seven games with a lower-body issue but the plan is for him to play on Saturday. Trocheck is looking like a third-round steal from the 2011 NHL Draft. The 22-year-old centre is coming off of a huge 25-goal, 28-assist (53 points) season, earning himself a huge extension. He is a key member of a young core in Florida that will be looking to do even more damage in 2016-17. Trocheck should be able to turn in another 25/25 season.
