Hinostroza will sit on Monday after playing just 5:16 against the Flyers on Saturday. He has one goal and two assists in nine games for the Penguins this season. Hinostroza will make way for the recently recalled Alex Nylander.

Hinostroze has been in and out of the lineup in his first season with the Penguins, scoring three points (1G / 2A) in nine games.
Hinostroza had a goal, an assist, four SOG, two PIMs and a +2 plus/minus in two games played so far in 2023-24 but has been reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) Thursday. The 29-year-old winger heads back to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton where he was succeeding prior to his NHL promotion with two goals, four points and two PIMs in five games played.

The 29-year-old centre will be joining his fifth NHL team and has 53 goals, 95 assists and 99 PIMs across 360 games played through eight season.
Hinostroza had eight assists, 23 SOG and a -2 plus/minus through 19 games this season with Buffalo but has been reassigned to Rochester (AHL) Wednesday after clearing waivers. J.J. Peterka has been recalled in his place.
