Namestnikov played just 6:52 TOI before exiting Thursday’s game with a lower-body injury. Namestnikov doesn’t have a big fantasy impact given he has just nine goals and 15 assists (24 points) in 62 games this season, but he plays a key role in the Lightning offence, especially after they traded Valtteri Filppula to Philadelphia.

Namestnikov will miss his second straight game with an upper-body injury. Ondrej Palat is listed as a game-time decision and if he can’t play like Namestnikov, look for the Lightning to go with seven defensemen again. Namestnikov was the Lightning's 1st round pick (27th overall) in 2011. Tonight he will make his NHL debut on a line with J.T Brown and Nikita Kucherov, a line that played very well for Lightning head coach Jon Cooper when he was with Syracuse (AHL). Namestnikov has 13 goals and 17 assists (30 points) in 31 games with Syracuse (AHL) this season.
