Eklund was a 2021 1st round pick (7th overall) and has played in nine career NHL games previously, picking up four assists.
Eklund was a healthy scratch in Boston on Sunday but will be back in the lineup in Nashville. Eklund, who has three assists in his first four NHL games, will skate on a line with Tomas Hertl and Kevin Labanc.
