The Devils have recalled Yann Danis from Albany (AHL).

Danis, 34, has gone 25-9-5 with a 2.28 GAA and .907 SV% in 40 games with Albany this season. He has been recalled because Cory Schneider is likely to miss Sunday’s game, which means Danis is expected to serve as Keith Kinkaid’s backup.

ST. LOUIS – St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Friday the club has recalled forwards Jonathan Cheechoo, Anthony Peluso and Brett Sterling along with defenseman Mark Cundari from the Blues’ American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, Peoria Rivermen.

Cheechoo will get another shot at making the team.

Cheechoo, who led the NHL with 56 goals in 2005-06 but has been in decline ever since, demonstrated that if confident and healthy he could resurrect his once-astonishing career.

Cheechoo continues to work hard in yet another comeback attempt. Nevertheless, wait until he actually makes the NHL before going out and drafting the former 50-goal scorer.
