The Flames have signed Zac Rinaldo to a one-year contract.
Rinaldo spent the 2019 season with the Predators but only appeared in 23 games, posting three points (1G / 2A) and 20 PIMS. He also had one assist in three AHL contests. He is expected to start the season in Stockton (AHL) if he clears waivers.
The Predators have assigned Zac Rinaldo to Milwaukee (AHL) on a long-term injury loan.
Rinaldo has been out since January 1st and will go to Milwaukee to get back up to game speed. Rinaldo will likely return to the Predators for the playoffs but likely won’t be an integral part of their lineup.

Rinaldo has not been in the lineup wins January 1st and was believed to be a healthy scratch, so he could have suffered a non-game injury.

Rinaldo is listed as day-to-day with a lower-body ailment. The veteran winger is expected to be replaced by Rocco Grimaldi on the Predators fourth line.

The Predators have signed Zac Rinaldo to a one-year, two-way deal worth $650K.
Rinaldo (illness) will miss Thursday’s game vs. Tampa Bay.
Rinaldo is under the weather so he won’t play tonight vs. the Lightning. Nick Cousins will replace him in the lineup.
Rinaldo has served his five-game suspension and is expected to make his Coyotes debut on Tuesday.
Rinaldo served a five-game suspension to start the season, but will get into the lineup on the Coyotes’ fourth-line tonight. Rinaldo has just 27 points and 655 PIMS in 275 career NHL games.
The Bruins placed Zac Rinaldo on waivers on Friday.
Rinaldo, who still owes the NHL time yet served on a five-game suspension from last season. If Rinaldo clears waivers he will head to Providence (AHL).

Rinaldo suffered an upper-body injury on Monday night and then was placed on IR on Tuesday. With Rinaldo out, Tyler Randell will remain in the lineup for the foreseeable future.
The Bruins acquired Zac Rinaldo from the Flyers for a 2017 3rd-round pick.
The NHL has suspended Zac Rinaldo for eight games for charging and boarding Kris Letang.
Rinaldo has a history of suspensions, which clearly played a role in the length of his suspension. He is not eligible to return until February 17th vs. the Blue Jackets.
Rinaldo has been offered an in-person hearing for boarding Kris Letang on Tuesday night.
Letang left the game and did not return. An in-person hearing means that Rinaldo can be suspended for more than five games and given that he is a repeat offender, that is almost a guarantee.
Rinaldo (upper-body) is expected to return to the Flyers lineup on Tuesday.
Rinaldo missed Saturday's game against the Red Wings with an upper-body injury he suffered on Wednesday vs. the Penguins. He was only expected to miss one game originally and it looks like he will be in for Blair Jones on Tuesday. He has no points with a minus-3 rating and six penalty minutes in seven games.

Rinaldo (upper-body) is not at Flyers practice this morning.
Rinaldo suffered and upper-body injury in Wednesday's win over the Penguins and did not return. There is no word on the severity of the injury, but his absence at practice on Friday puts his availability for Satruday's game in serious doubt. Blair Jones will re-enter the lineup with Rinaldo out.

Rinaldo, 24, had four points (2G / 2A) with 153 penalty minutes in 67 games with the Flyers last season. Certainly not known for his offence, Rinaldo can collect PIMS with the best of them.

RInaldo has been suspended for four games because of his hit on Sabres' defenseman Chad Ruhwedel on Sunday.
The Flyers have four games left in the regular season, so Rinaldo will sit out for the rest of the season. Expect Steve Downie (concussion) to return Tuesday.
Rinaldo will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety Monday for a hit on Buffalo Sabres defenseman Chad Ruhwedel on Sunday.
At 4:29 of the third period, Rinaldo was assessed a match penalty for hitting Ruhwedel near the blue line in the Philadelphia defensive zone. Ruhwedel left the game and did not return. The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: illegal check to the head. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.

The Flyers have activated Zac Rinaldo (ankle) from IR.
Rinaldo could be in the lineup tonight after missing the last 11 games with a high-ankle sprain. He is only fantasy relevant in leagues with penalty minutes, he sits at 101 PIMs in 44 games this year.
