Bogosian recently had his contract terminated in Buffalo and became a free agent. With Ryan McDonagh and Jan Rutta out for multiple weeks and Erik Cernak getting hurt on Saturday, Bogosian provides some blueline depth for the remainder of the season.
The Sabres placed Bogosian on unconditional waivers with the intention of terminating his contract.

Bogosian missed Monday’s game against Edmonton but will play Thursday in Chicago. Bogosian has been held pointless in his last five games and has just 15 points (2G / 13A) in 58 games this season. He will replace Matt Hunwick.
