MacEwen has been a healthy scratch for the Kings' previous three games but will draw back into the lineup Monday vs. Calgary. The 26-year-old has four goals, five assists, 66 SOG, 54 PIMs and a -10 plus/minus through 49 games this season between Los Angeles and Philadelphia.

The Kings have acquired Zack MacEwen from the Flyers for Brendan Lemieux and a 2024 5th Round Pick.

MacEwen has missed the Flyers last 11 games with a fractured jaw. MacEwen has picked ups four goals and five assists in 12:18 ATOI in 46 games this season. His first chance to make his Kings debut will be Saturday night's game against the Blues.

MacEwen last played on January 26th and was forced to leave the game after just 1:50 TOI due to a fractured jaw which has led to him now being placed on the injured reserve attractive to that date. The 26-year-old had four goals, five assists, 63 SOG, 54 PIMs and a -9 plus/minus prior to his injury.

MacEwen has three goals, eight points and 38 PIMs while playing a bottom-six roll all season for Philadelphia and will be a game-time decision Thursday as they take on New Jersey. MacEwen played 12:20 TOI in their previous contest, picking up a fight in the loss.

The Canucks have signed Zack MacEwen to a two-year deal worth $1.65 million ($825K AAV).

MacEwen split his 2020 campaign between the AHL and NHL, recording 11 points (5G / 6A) in 20 games with Utica and six points (5G / 1A) in 17 games with Vancouver. MacEwen is a big winger (6-foot-4, 211 lbs) who posted excellent numbers at lower-levels and should be a bottom-6 player for the Canucks in 2021.

MacEwen comes up because Brandon Sutter was hurt early in Tuesday's win over the Predators. MacEwen has just one assist in four career NHL games and will likely make his season debut on Thursday. The 23-year-old has eight points (3G / 5A) in 13 games with Utica this season.
