PointsBet Daily Bets: Oilers/Capitals Puckline & Canucks/Canadiens

Tyler Yaremchuk joined Frank Seravalli and Mike McKenna on Monday’s edition of Daily Faceoff Live for another PointsBet Daily Bets segment.

Six games on the slate tonight. Yaremchuk provides you with all your betting and odds needs for tonight’s matchups: the Edmonton Oilers vs. Washington Capitals, Vancouver Canucks vs. Montreal Canadiens and Calgary Flames vs. Arizona Coyotes.

Tyler Yaremchuk: Let’s dig into things courtesy of our friends at PointsBet Canada. Starting with the Oilers matchup, I’ve been pretty good at betting on the Oilers this season and honestly, I’m going to get a little greedy tonight and take them on the Puckline for a couple of reasons. The Oilers are one of the best home bets in the NHL last season and so far this year they’ve been mildly average but things are starting to turn around. They’ve now won three in a row on home ice and tonight they’re taking on a Washington Capitals team that has not only been average on the season but they’ve been brutal on the road, with just three wins in 14 road games. In the month of November, they lost eight times on the road and failed to cover the Puckline in five of those. They’re losing a lot on the road and more often than not it’s by 2 or more goals. So, I love the Oilers at +155 on the Puckline

I also like the over 6.5 between Montreal vs. Vancouver. Each of these teams has been kind of 50/50 on over/under in their last 10 games. But, I do like them tonight and Spencer Martin could potentially see another start tonight for Vancouver, Jake Allen gave up five goals against the Edmonton Oilers earlier this week so I think this is one where we see several goals. I also like a shot prop. Jakob Chychrun over 3.5 shots, he missed it in his last game. But so far this year he’s hit in 4/6 Frank, so +100 for Chychrun to go over 3.5 shots on goal is my third and final play.
