According to Andrew Gross of The Record, Ryan Callahan will miss tonight’s game against the New Jersey Devils due to an injury.

Callahan, who leads the Rangers in points this season with 13, required stitches in his right ankle after blocking a shot during the team’s win against the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday.  Callahan was given a maintenance day on Wednesday and did not practice with the team.

Ryan was able to play against the Philadelphia Flyers last night, but fell hard into the boards after a collision with Flyers’ defenseman Kimmo Timonen during the first period.  Callahan was slow to get up, but continued to play the rest of the game.

The Rangers have not announced their updated lines for tonight’s contest, but did state that Derek Stepan and Evgeny Grachev will see a heavy increase in playing time tonight.

Be sure to check out the lines for the Rangers, as we will updated them as soon as we receive more news.
