Ryan Callahan Game-Time Decision vs. Devils

After missing the last three games, it looks like Captain Callahan will play tonight. According to Pat Leonard of The New York Daily News, via Twitter, the right wing will take warmups before determining how he feels. And with him using extra protection on his foot, it seems pretty likely he gets back into the lineup.

Number 24 practiced on the fourth line this morning so expect him to play there if healthy enough to suit up.

3/1/12: New York Rangers captain Ryan Callahan will not play tonight with a bruised foot, as first reported by NHL.com’s Dave Lozo, via Twitter. Callahan did not practice yesterday and carries the dreaded day-to-day label. And while the origins of this injury remain a mystery, you can probably bet he hurt himself blocking a shot.

Callahan has been the team’s leader on and off the ice; his absence would surely hurt the team’s overall energy. To see what the Rangers’ lines look like without him, click here.
