The San Jose Sharks have traded D Brenden Dillon to the Washington Capitals in exchange for two draft picks.

The picks involved are a 2020 second-round pick and a conditional 2021 third-round pick.

Dillon, 29, has played in 59 games for the Sharks this year scoring one goal and 13 assists.

Originally undrafted, Dillion started his career with the @Dallas Stars signing a three-year entry-level deal. The Stars traded him to the Sharks in Nov. 2014 for D @Jason Demers and a third-round pick in the 2016 draft.
