Seidenberg gets four more years with Bruins

The Bruins locked up Dennis Seidenberg for another four years at a $3.25-million a year cap hit.  Fantasy owners should note that Seidenberg has trended upwards the past two years, recording 30 points in 70 games with Carolina in 2008-09 and 31 points in 79 games with Florida and Boston.  He’ll most likely find himself on the top pairing again with Zdeno Chara and spend much of his time on the Bruins’ top powerplay.

Given the expected increase in Bruins offense next season, Seidenberg should be a decent option to round out your defense in 2010-11 contributing mostly to assists and +/-.
