Terry (upper body) has been placed on the Injured Reserve retroactive to December 30th.

Not much changes about Terry's return status but he was placed on the Injured Reserve Thursday with an upper-body injury retroactive to December 30th. The 26-year-old right winger had been enjoying a so-so beginning to his 2023-24 campaign, with nine goals, 22 points, 83 SOG, 14 PIMs and his -7 plus/minus through 35 games.

Mrazek will start Thursday vs. the New York Rangers.

Mrazek did not play in Chicago's 3-0 loss to the Nashville Predators on Tuesday after starting three straight games for the Blackhawks. Mrazek has put together a serviceable season for the bottom-dwelling Blackhawks but has allowed 11 goals on the last 66 shots he has faced (.833 SV%) in the last two games (0-1-1). The Blackhawks are huge +359 underdogs against the New York Rangers, who are coming off a disappointing 6-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.

Lacombe will draw back into Anaheim's lineup for Wednesday's game against the Maple Leafs.

Lacombe will draw in for Radko Gudas, who will miss Wednesday's game with an illness. Lacombe is yet to score a goal this season and has just four assists in 34 games. He is expected to skate alongside Cam Fowler on the Ducks' top pair on Wednesday.

The Ducks placed Terry on injured reserve on Wednesday.

Terry did not play against the Edmonton Oilers on New Year's Eve and will miss the first game of 2024, his second-straight contest, as he continues to recover from an upper-body injury. Before his injury, Terry was beginning to turn the corner on a disappointing season, scoring nine points (4G / 5A) in his last 10 games after scoring only two points (0G / 2A) in his previous 11. The team is yet to give a timetable for his return.

Lukas Dostal will start Wednesday vs. Toronto.

Dostal will start the first game of 2024 for the Ducks, his first start since December 23rd, when he allowed three goals on 22 shots (.864 SV%) in a 3-2 loss to the Seattle Kraken. In six December appearances (1-4-0), Dostal allowed fewer than three goals five times, posting a respectable .918 SV%. The Ducks are welcoming a Toronto Maple Leafs team that played the night before, a 3-0 shutout victory over the Los Angeles Kings, but are still +179 home underdogs as they look to snap a two-game losing streak in which they have been outscored 9-2.

Mrazek will start in Dallas on Friday.

Mrazek was sensational on Wednesday in a 2-1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets, saving 37 of 38 shots (.974 SV%) and will be rewarded with another start on Friday. Mrazek has won two of his last three games (2-1-0), posting an impressive .931 SV%. The Blackhawks, +320 road underdogs, will face off against the Dallas Stars for the first time this season, a team Mrazek has historically been solid against, posting a 2.41 GAA and .923 SV% in 12 career games (3-5-1).

Trouba (upper-body) will not return to Wednesday's game against the Capitals.

Trouba suffered the injury after he appeared to take an inadvertent elbow to head from Tom Wilson as the former drove toward the Rangers' net. We should expect to receive an update on Trouba's injury and a possible timeline to his return in the coming days. The Rangers' captain has two goals and eleven assists in 32 games this season.
