Because the Bruins will not hold a morning skate, we won't get an idea of who starts until closer to game-time. Head coach Claud Juien rarely announced his starting goaltender, but we shall see if interim head coach Bruce Cassidy changes that mentality in Boston.


Rask allowed five goals on 22 shots in the Bruins’ 5-3 loss in Washington on Wednesday. Rask missed yesterday’s practice because of a groin problem, but he skated this morning and will be in net vs. the Leafs. In his first start against the Maple Leafs, Rask allowed three goals on 19 shots in a 4-1 loss.

Bergeron was hurt in Wednesday’s game in Washington and missed Friday’s practice, but is expected to be in the lineup tonight vs. the Maple Leafs. Bergeron has been great in his last 17 games, having collected seven goals and nine assists (16 points).

Korpisalo has gone 2-1-0 with a 3.43 GAA and .893 SV% in four games since being called up. He draws a terrible matchup vs. a high-scoring Rangers team that has won three of their last four.


Rask left Sunday’s with a migraine after allowing two goals on 22 shots in a game the Bruins ended up losing in Pittsburgh. He faced the Red Wings last Wednesday and gave up five goals on 25 shots in a 6-5 shootout loss. Rask hasn’t exactly been great in January, going 3-5-1 with a 2.72 GAA and .887 SV% in 10 starts this month.

Rask allowed two goals on 22 shots before exiting Sunday’s 5-1 loss in Pittsburgh. Rask was reportedly not feeling well and removed himself from the game, turning things over to Zane McIntyre. Monitor Rask’s status prior to Tuesday’s game vs. the Red Wings.
