The Blue Jackets have recalled Joonas Korpisalo from Lake Erie (AHL).

Korpisalo, 21, was the Blue Jackets third round pick (62nd overall) in 2012. Korpisalo has gone 5-4-2 with a 2.12 GAA and .928 SV% in 11 games with Lake Erie and has been recalled because Sergei Bobrovsky was injured in Tuesday’s loss to the Kings. His recall suggests that Bobrovsky won’t be available for Thursday’s game, in which case Korpisalo will likely dress as Curtis McElhinney’s backup.

Johnson (undisclosed) failed to record a point in 17:40 TOI in his return to the lineup on Sunday.

Johnson missed three games with an undisclosed injury, but returned to the lineup on Sunday. Johnson didn’t record a point, but played a healthy 17:40. Johnson and the Lightning had a lot of hype surrounding them entering the season, but Johnson has just 11 points (4G / 7A) in 22 games this year. He would make for an interesting buy-low option right now.

Johnson (undisclosed) missed Monday’s practice.

Johnson has been battling injuries for the last two weeks. Johnson was injured early in last Friday’s game and missed Saturday’s contest. Thankfully for Johnson owners, the Lightning don’t play until Wednesday, but Johnson’s absence from practice puts his status in doubt.

Johnson (undisclosed) is questionable for Saturday's game.

Johnson left after his first shift in his second game back on Friday. Johnson had previously missed three games with an injury and now it looks like he could be back out of the lineup on Saturday. If Johnson can’t play, look for Mike Angelidis to bin the lineup.
