Callahan has been recalled from Providence (AHL).

With Charlie McAvoy (upper-body) not heading with the Bruins on their upcoming road trip, Michael Callahan has been recalled from Providence (AHL) for defensive reinforcements. The 26-year-old has already spent some time with the Bruins' this season, appearing in three games and picking up a -2 plus/minus while averaging just 16:27 TOI.

McAvoy (upper-body) will not travel with Boston for their upcoming road trip.

McAvoy exited Boston's 3-2 win over Montreal on Saturday after only 13:41 time-on-ice due to an upper-body injury and has not played since. The 27-year-old defenseman is still being evaluated, but there are some concerns that this could be a longer-term injury. He has 14 points (0G / 14A) through 19 games this season.

Lindholm (lower-body) will travel with Boston on their upcoming road trip.

Lindholm has not played since the end of October, but is drawing closer to a return, possibly on the Bruins' upcoming four-game road trip. The 30-year-old Lindholm has nine points (4G / 5A) in 13 games this season and should reclaim his spot on the team's top powerplay unit when he returns.

Swayman will start against the Hurricanes on Monday.

The red-hot Bruins are 8-2-0 in their last 10 and will turn to Swayman on Monday against the Carolina Hurricanes. The 26-year-old Swayman started the season with an ugly 3.40 GAA and .886 SV% in seven games (3-4-0), but has been outstanding since, posting a 2.40 GAA and .923 SV% in five games (5-0-0). Swayman and the Bruins enter Monday's contest as +166 home underdogs against a Hurricanes team they defeated 2-1 earlier this month.

Riding an impressive season-best seven-game winning streak, the Bruins will turn to Korpisalo on Thursday against his former team, the Ottawa Senators. Korpisalo was solid between the pipes against the Senators last week, saving 20 of 22 shots (.909 SV%) in a 3-2 overtime victory. The 31-year-old goalie has a 3.24 GAA and .885 SV% in seven games this season (4-3-0).
