Swayman was pulled after he up five goals on 23 shots in the Bruins' 6-5 overtime loss in Carolina on Tuesday. It was the first time Swayman allowed more than three goals in 10 games (last time was March 12th) and was his third consecutive loss. This afternoon he will face the Lightning for the third time this season--he is 0-1-1 with a 3.38 GAA and .897 SV% in the first two meetings.
Steeves played 10:13 TOI and was a minus-1 with one SOG on Tuesday, but will be replaced by Mikey Eyssimont in the lineup on Saturday. It will be the 12th time in 13 games that Steeves has been a healthy scratch.
Eyssimont was a healthy scratch for the last two games but will replace Alex Steeves in the lineup on Saturday. Eyssimont has scored eight goals with 10 assists (18 points) in 52 games this season.
Reichel put up three points in nine games during his call up to the Bruins but has been reassigned to Providence (AHL) on Friday with the introduction of James Hagens to the roster. The 23-year-old Reichel is with his third organization this season after being traded from both Chicago and Vancouver prior to landing in Boston.
Hagens has been practicing with Boston after signing his entry-level contract earlier in the week but will remain out on Saturday vs. Tampa Bay and will not make his NHL debut. The 19-year-old has had success at both the NCAA level (47 Pts in 34 GP) and AHL (4 Pts in 6 GP) this season.
Hagens was drafted seventh-overall by the Boston Bruins in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft. The 19-year-old forward recently completed his second season of collegiate hockey with Boston College, where he scored 47 points (23G / 24A) in 34 games.
