Thompson was not on the ice for Monday's practice and is considered day-to-day. This leaves Thompson's status for Wednesday's game vs. Carolina in question. It's unclear when Thompson suffered the injury, as he finished Saturday's game in Minnesota with 20:58 TOI.

Norris suffered a shoulder injury on October 22nd and missed three months before returning to the lineup on January 18th. Norris played three games, scoring one goal on seven shots but will undergo shoulder surgery in the near future and will not play again this season. Ridly Greig was recalled from Belleville (AHL) to take Norris' spot on the roster and fill the void at centre.

Lyon stopped 29 of 32 shots (.906 SV%) for his second-straight win as he beat Minnesota in his first start of the season for Florida. The 30-year-old veteran has been solid in his limited action while filling in for the injured Florida Panthers, with his 2-0-0 record, .912 SV% and 2.55 GAA. He will face the New York Rangers, who lost their previous contest 3-1 to Boston but are seventh in the NHL in shots per game (32.9).

The 23-year-old netminder has a great record at 10-5-1 but has struggled to stop the puck in general, as shown by his 3.41 GAA and .897 SV%. He faces the New York Islanders, who have been on a tough run as of late, losing six of their last seven games after a 4-1 loss to Boston last game.

He faces the New York Islanders, who have been on a tough run as of late, losing six of their last seven games after a 4-1 loss to Boston last game.

Norris (shoulder) will return to the Senators lineup on Wednesday.

Norris has been sidelined since October 22nd but will be back on the second line with Alex DeBrincat and Claude Giroux on Wednesday. Giroux is expected to take the face-offs, but Norris provides a massive offensive boost to the Senators, who averaged 4.2 goals per game in the five games Norris played earlier in the season.
