Tuch (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision on Thursday.

All signs are pointing towards Tuch making his season debut on Thursday but he has not been medically cleared as of now. Tuch skated on the third line with Cody Eakin and Cody Glass in Wednesday's practice, so look for him to start the season there. The 23-year-old power-forward had 52 points (20G / 32A) in 74 games last season.

Greenway (upper-body) will return to the Wild lineup on Tuesday.

Greenway has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury that he suffered vs. the Oilers last Tuesday but will play tonight in Dallas. Greenway, who has five assists in nine games this year, will return on the fourth-line with Victor Rask and Ryan Donato.

Greenway (upper-body) will not play Thursday.

Greenway travelled to Nashville for Thursday's game but woke up "not feeling well" which has led to speculation that he could be dealing with a concussion. Victor Rask will draw into the lineup for Greenway, who will have some time to recover before Minnesota's next game, which doesn't come until Sunday.

Greenway (upper-body) travelled to Nashville but is questionable to play Thursday.

Greenway was forced to leave Tuesday's win over the Oilers with an upper-body injury and did not return. It was a tough break for the young power forward, who had two assists in just 4:54 TOI before departing for the dressing room. Greenway has now collected five assists in his last five games.

The Sabres have assigned Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to Rochester (AHL).

Luukkonen is the Sabres top goaltending prospect and former second-round pick (2017). He missed the start of the 2019-20 campaign after hip surgery but is close to making his season debut. He was 38-11-2 with a 2.50 GAA and .920 SV% in 53 games with Sudbury (OHL) last year.

The Avalanche have reassigned Conor Timmins to Colorado (AHL).

Timmins, who did not record a point while averaging just 10:24 TOI/gm in his first two career NHL games, heads to the Eagles where he’ll play a much larger role. The 2017 second-round pick (No.32 overall) had 41 points (8G / 33A) in 36 OHL games last year and will be a quality offensive defensman for the Eagles.

The Golden Knights have placed Alex Tuch (upper-body) on IR.

This comes as no surprise because Tuch is expected to miss at least a couple of weeks. Tuch is officially listed as week-to-week, so expect an update on his status in mid-October. Cody Glass will get a huge early-season look while Tuch is on the mend.

Tuch is week-to-week with an upper-body injury.

Tuch crashed hard into the end boards and left the ice during Friday night’s preseason game. The Golden Knights have listed their right-winger as “week-to-week.” With Tuch out, Reilly Smith is guaranteed a spot in the top-6 and it opens the door for Cody Glass to start the year in the NHL.

The Avalanche have signed Bowen Byram to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Byram was picked No.4 overall this summer after scoring 26 goals with 45 assists (71 points) in 67 games with the Vancouver Giants. Byram was considered the most NHL-ready defenseman in the draft but could be one-year away from cracking the Avalanche lineup in 2020.

The Senators signed Josh Norris to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Norris was a first-round pick of the Sharks in 2017 and was traded to Ottawa as a part of the Erik Karlsson trade. The 20-year-old had 10 goals and nine assists (19 points) in 17 games at the University of Michigan this season. He also added three goals and three assists in seven games while representing the United States at the Wold Juniors.

Thompson is expected to be a healthy scratch on Thursday.

Thompson came to the Sabres with so much upside and a lethal shot but has registered just seven goals on 81 shots (8.6 SH%) and four assists (11 points) in 45 games this season. Thompson will be replaced by Johan Larsson tonight.
