Malenstyn will miss 6-8 weeks after blocking a shot against Vegas in the Capitals' previous game. He will undergo surgery to stabilize a finger fracture. In five games with Washington this season, he has two points (1G/1A) and four shots, while averaging only 8:34 TOI.


The Winnipeg Jets announced Tuesday that defenseman Logan Stanley will miss the next couple of weeks due to a slight fracture in his foot. The towering 24-year-old had no points and six PIMs in his first five games this season while playing 14:48 TOI.






Bayreuther will get his first game of the season for Columbus after being called up from the AHL to join the Blue Jackets Monday. Across 71 career games played, he has three goals and 14 points to go along with 39 PIMs.
