The 23-year-old Wolf remains a strong candidate for the Calder trophy this season, posting a 2.50 GAA and .917 SV% through 25 games (16-7-2). The Flames enter Thursday's contest as -133 home favorites against a Sabres team coming off a 3-2 win against the Vancouver Canucks.



Tsyplakov was not penalized after an illegal check to to the head of Philadelphia's Ryan Poehling but was issued a three-game suspension after a hearing with the Department of Player Safety. The 26-year-old Tsyplakov, in his first NHL season, is averaging 16:15 time-on-ice, scoring 19 points (7G / 12A) in 44 games. He's been held off the scoresheet in 10 straight.

The Flames were defeated 2-1 by the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday and will switch from Dan Vladar to Dustin Wolf between the pipes in a rematch on Thursday. The 23-year-old Wolf has performed admirably as a rookie this season, posting a stellar 2.50 GAA and .916 SV% in 23 games (15-6-2). He has allowed only 10 combined goals in his previous six games (5-1-0), posting a .937 SV%. The Flames enter Thursday's contest as +119 road underdogs against the Blues.

Olle Lycksell will be a healthy scratch on Thursday against the New York Islanders, allowing Farabee to re-enter the lineup. The 24-year-old Farabee is averaging 15:20 time-on-ice and has 14 points (6G / 8A) in 42 games this season.

Englund will sit to make room for the return of Joel Edmundson (upper-body). Englund has one goal and zero assists in 11 games this season.

The Flames will turn to Wolf between the pips for the fourth straight game when the Flames visit the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday. Wolf was excellent in his most recent outing, saving 31 of 32 shots (.969 SV%) in a 2-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings. The 23-year-old netminder remains in the conversation for the Calder trophy, boasting a solid 2.53 GAA and .916 SV% in 22 games this season (14-6-2). The Flames enter Monday's contest as -154 road favorites against a Blackhawks club amid a two-game losing skid.

Kerins was a sixth-round pick, 174th overall, of the Flames in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. He has yet to play an NHL game but has been impressive this season at the AHL level, scoring 34 points (21G / 13A) in 34 games with the Calgary Wranglers.





With Connor Zary (lower body) sidelined indefinitely, the Flames have recalled Kerins from the Wranglers (AHL). The 22-year-old Kerins was a sixth-round pick, 174th overall, of the Flames in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The 22-year-old forward has yet to play an NHL game and has 34 points (21G / 13A) in 34 AHL games with the Wranglers this season.

Zary was limited to 6:37 time-on-ice in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks, exiting the contest after a knee-on-knee hit from Drew Helleson. The 23-year-old Zary had been productive this season before his injury, scoring 22 points (10G / 12A) in 40 games while averaging 16:18 time-on-ice.
