Whitecloud (upper-body) is expected to return to Vegas' lineup on Thursday in Winnipeg.

Whitecloud has been out of the lineup for two weeks but will return to action on Thursday against the Winnipeg Jets. The 28-year-old Whitecloud was averaging 17:23 time-on-ice before his injury, recording two points (1G / 1A), 40 blocks, and 33 hits in 21 games.

Whitecloud has been out of the lineup for a week and remains day-to-day. The 28-year-old Whitecloud was averaging 17:23 time-on-ice before his injury, recording two points (1G / 1A), 40 blocks, and 33 hits in 21 games.

Ilya Nikolaev has been released from his contract with the Calgary Flames.

Nikolaev was the third-round pick, 88th overall, of the Calgary Flames in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. The 23-year-old has never played an NHL game and scored four points (0G / 4A) in nine games with the Calgary Wranglers (AHL) this season.

Wolf is in the starter's crease at Calgary's morning skate.

Wolf has been excellent this season, continuing his case for the Calder Trophy, and will return to the crease for the fourth time in the last five games for the Flames. The 23-year-old Wolf has a tremendous 2.33 GAA and .926 SV% in 11 games this season (8-2-1), highlighted by an exquisite .966 SV% in his last four outings (4-0-0). That said, the Flames enter Monday's contest as +138 road underdogs against an Ottawa Senators club amid a five-game losing skid (0-4-1).

Jones will be a healthy scratch in Edmonton on Thursday.

Devin Shore will make his season debut on Thursday, resulting in Jones being a healthy scratch. The 25-year-old Jones has played three NHL games but has primarily been an AHL player. He has 12 points (4G / 8A) in 14 games with the Iowa Wild (AHL) this season.

Wolf will start vs. the Rangers on Thursday.

Wolf has been tremendous between the pipes lately and will return to the crease for a third straight game on Thursday against the New York Rangers. The 23-year-old Wolf is making a case at the Calder Trophy, posting a 2.36 GAA and .925 SV% in 10 games (7-2-1). He has been near perfect during a three-game winning streak, saving 85 of 87 shots (.977 SV%). The Flames enter Thursday's contest as +133 home underdogs against a Rangers club riding a three-game winning streak.

Jones will make his Minnesota debut in St. Louis on Tuesday.

Jones was a seventh-round pick, 189th overall, of the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. The 25-year-old Jones made his NHL debut with the Golden Knights in the 2021-22 season, playing two games, but has exclusively been an AHL player since. He has 12 points (4G / 8A) in 14 games with the Iowa Wild (AHL).

Fresh off his first career shutout, saving 29 shots in a 2-0 win over the Nashville Predators, Wolf will return to the crease on Tuesday against the New York Islanders. The 23-year-old Wolf, making a case for the Calder Trophy, has a 2.53 GAA and .921 SV% in nine games this season (6-2-1). The Flames enter the action on Tuesday as slight -106 home favorites against an Islanders club that has lost three of four (1-1-2).
