Andersen will start in goal Thursday vs. the Blues.

Andersen allowed four goals on 34 shots in the Ducks 4-3 loss to the Stars on Thursday. The Ducks finally scored in front of Andersen, but it still wasn’t enough to earn his first win of the season. Andersen enters play on Thursday with a 0-4-2 record, 2.05 GAA and .931 SV%. He will face a Blues team that is tied for 11th in scoring—2.78 goals per game.

Andersen stopped 23 of 24 shots in the Ducks 1-0 OT loss to the Blackhawks last night. It was another great performance from Andersen, but the Ducks have only scored a single goal in front of him this season. He will need them to score some goals tonight when he faces a Stars team who ranks sixth in the NHL in scoring (3.38 G/PG).

Through three contests, Andersen owns a 1.40 GAA and .956 SV%. Tonight he takes on a Colorado team who is the opposite—they can score but can’t keep the puck out of their net.

Hall was not on the ice for the Oilers’ morning skate and his status for tonight’s game is in question. Hall is battling an illness, which could force him out of action. If he can’t play, expected Rob Klinkhammer to draw into the lineup and for Lauri Korpikoski to move up into the top six.

With John Gibson sidelined by an upper-body injury it has been all Andersen to this point in the postseason. After struggling a bit last season, posting a 3.10 GAA and .899 SV% in seven starts, Andersen has been perfect in 2015, going 4-0 with a 2.20 GAA and .924 SV% vs. the Jets. In three starts against the Flames this season, Andersen went 2-0-1 with a 2.60 GAA and .907 SV%.

The Jets have recalled Nikolaj Ehlers from Halifax (QMJHL).

Ehlers, 19, was the Jets first round pick (9th overall) in last summer’s entry draft. He had 101 points (37G / 64A) in 51 games with Halifax this season. In the playoffs, he registered 31 points (10G / 21A) in 14 games before they were eliminated. Ehlers is not expected to play, but he has been recalled to get an off-ice feel of NHL playoff hockey.

Andersen made 28 saves on 29 shots in the Ducks win over the Jets in Game 2. The win gave the Ducks a 2-0 lead heading into Winnipeg. Anaheim is heading into a hostile environment that is expected to be extremely loud. Andersen was 17-5-3 with a 2.37 GAA and .912 SV% in 25 starts on the road this season.
