Gostisbehere, 21, was the Flyers third round pick (78th overall) in 2012. The 5-foot-11, 170 lbs. D-man has two assists in three games in his first full year in the AHL. He is expected to make his NHL debut on Saturday vs. the Red Wings because of an injury to Andrew MacDonald.
Stastny has skated the last two days, but has yet to start shooting the puck. He remains week-to-week and his designation to IR allowed the Blues to recall Dmitrij Jaskin from Chicago, but he is eligible to return to the lineup whenever he is healthy.
It is a good sign that Stastny is back on the ice, but he is plagued by a shoulder injury, so don't get too excited until he starts shooting the biscuit. He will miss his third game in a row on Saturday and his week-to-week status has not changed.
Andersen stopped all 28 shots that he faced in a 3-0 win over the Blues on Sunday. The win moved him to 5-0-0 with a 1.38 GAA and .950 SV% on the season. He is off to the best start of any goalie in the NHL and is an absolute must-start tonight vs. the Sabres.

Stepan's original timetable was 4-6 weeks and we are approaching the four week point and he has yet to resume skating, so it looks like he won't be returning until the tail-end of the original timetable at best.
Stastny was injured in the Blues contest on Saturday night and will miss an extended period of time with a shoulder issue. Week-to-week is a very vague timetable, but expect him to miss at least one week and be re-evaluated after that. He had one goal and three assists in his first four games with the Blues.
Andersen stopped 27 of 28 shots in a 2-1 win over the Wild on Friday. He has won all four starts with a 1.72 GAA and .937 SV% in the first few weeks of the season. He draws a tough matchup vs. the Blues, but is as hot as any netminder in the league right now.

Stastny left Saturday's game with an arm injury an did not return. He was injured when he was hit into the boards and was spotted leaving the arena with his arm in a sling. The Blues would only say that he won't play tonight, but would not go any further. Consider him day-to-day for now.
Fast was a healthy scratch in each of the Rangers last two games. He had zero points with three shots and minus-1 rating in the first three games of the year.
Gardiner has been a healthy scratch in the Maple Leafs last two games, but he will be back in the lineup tonight, paired with Morgan Rielly. Stephane Robidas is expected to take a seat with Gardiner returning. The Red Wings are a really fast team so getting Gardiner's foot speed is a huge upgrade from Robidas skating.
Andersen allowed three goals on 42 shots in a 4-3 shootout win over the Flyers last night. He has posted a 3-0 record with a 1.95 GAA and .928 SV% in his first three starts. John Gibson was sent to the AHL for the weekend, so this is Andersen's gig right now.
Gardiner was on the ice for warmups but did not take part in line rushes, so he will sit for the second straight game. When Randy Carlyle was asked what he wants Gardiner to do when he gets back in the lineup all he had to say was "play better." It is clear that Carlyle is not happy with Gardiner's play early in the year.
Andersen only had to stop 11 of 12 shots to earn a 5-1 win over the Sabres last night. Despite head coach Bruce Boudreau saying both goalies would play twice on this road trip and most people believing that John Gibson would go tonight, it is Andersen who will put his 2-0 record on the line tonight vs. the winless Flyers.
Head coach Bruce Boudreau said both goalies would play twice on this road-trip which suggested John Gibson would start tonight after Andersen started vs. the Sabres last night. I guess we will have to wait until pre-game warmups to see who gets the start. Andersen faced just 12 shots (stopped 11) in the afternoon game yesterday, so he is fresh enough to play the back-to-back.
Andersen allowed two goals on 29 shots in a 3-2 win over the Red Wings on Saturday. John Gibson was lit up in his first start, so the Ducks will go to Andersen for two straight games. He is a must-start against Sabres this afternoon.
Gardiner led the Maple Leafs in ice-time on Saturday (23:04) but will not play on Sunday with Cody Franson returning from a knee injury. There is no word on whether Gardiner is dealing with an injury, but you have to think they would not make him a healthy scratch.
Stastny missed practice friday but was back on the ice for Saturdays morning skate and is expected to in the line up vs the Flames. Stastny scored in his Blues debut and with snipers Vladimir Tarasenko and Alex Steen on his wings, Stastny is set up for another good year so get him in your line up when he's healthy.
