When hall suffered an upper-body injury on October 1st, the Bruins described him as week-to-week. Hall progressed quicker than expected and is expected to play in the Bruins' season opener in Washington. Hall skated on a line with Patrice Bergeron and Jake DeBrusk in Monday's practice.
Hall is apparently ahead of schedule in his recovery from an upper-body injury. According to Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery, Hall may be back "sooner than week-to-week." The Bruins' season starts next Wednesday (Oct.12) so keep an eye on Hall's progress over the weekend.

It’s a little bit more significant than we expected." This is a huge loss for the Bruins, who were going to rely on Hall to replace Brad Marchand, who will be out until late November.
Smith was a first-round pick in 2018 and had a nice rookie season (2G / 21A in 48 games) but struggled in his second season. The move to Pittsburgh provides the Penguins with a little salary relief for this season and a defenseman with some untapped offensive potential. Swapping Marino for Smith is certainly a downgrade defensively for Pittsburgh.
Stromwall was an undrafted free agent out of Sweden that spent one season with the Rangers' AHL affiliate in 2017. He had been in Sweden and the KHL since 2018, most recently scoring 19 goals with 13 assists (32 points) in 37 games with Minsk Dynamo (KHL) in 2022.
Jankowski was with the Sabres last season, scoring two goals with three assists in 19 games. He spent more time in the AHL, registering 27 points (10G / 17A) in 32 games for Rochester. Heading to Nashville, he may open the 2022-23 season with Milwaukee (AHL).
Kase missed the morning skate due to a personal matter but head coach Sheldon Keefe expects him to be good to go for Game 3. Kase is expected to skate on the second line with John Tavares and William Nylander.
With Hampus Lindholm (upper-body) not available for Game 3, Reilly will play in his first game of the series. Reilly skated on the top pair with Charlie McAvoy in the Bruins' morning skate and had 17 points (4G / 13A) in 70 regular-season games.
Kase has been out since March 19th but will play in Game 1 vs. the Lightning. Kase, who scored 14 goals with 13 assists (27 points) in 50 games, will return to the Maple Leafs' top-6 right away.
