Hall will miss tonight’s game after suffering a leg injury when he was hit by a shot in Monday’s practice. He will undergo further testing this afternoon which will help determine the severity of his injury. Benoit Pouliot will be on the top-line with Hall out.

Staal was rested for Wednesday’s game after feeling some pain in his fractured leg. Despite the day-off he was back on the ice at the Hurricanes morning skate today and will be in the lineup tonight. He recorded one assist in his season debut on Monday.
Staal has not played yet this season after fracturing his fibula in the preseason. He will make his season debut on a line with his brother Eric and Nathan Gerbe. He had 40 points (15G / 25A) in 82 games last season. If he can play at that pace again this season, he would be able to post close to 25 points in the remaining 47 games.
Martinook, 22, had no points and a plus-1 rating in two games during his recall. It was good experience for the 2012 second round pick (58th overall) who heads back to the AHL where he has 13 points (4G / 9A) in 21 games.
Staal, who has been skating by himself lately, will join the team tomorrow for the first time this season. He remains without a timetable for when he will return to full practice, but this is another step in the right direction for Staal.
Martinook, 22, was the Coyotes second round pick (58th overall) in 2012. The former Vancouver Giants’ forward has four goals and nine assists (13 points) in 21 games in his third full season with Portland. He is expected to make his NHL debut tonight on a line with Joe Vitale and B.J Crombeen.
Staal had surgery on his fractured fibula in late September. Staal is not expected to be back until later this month at the earliest, most likely early January.
Taylor Hall is set to return from a knee injury. In 11 games played, Hall has 6 goals and 4 assists.
Fast, 22, has one goal and eight assists in 11 games with Hartford this season. He will be in the Rangers fourth line with Dominic Moore and Tanner Glass. He has yet to record a point in three games with the Rangers.
Hall was diagnosed with a sprained MCL and is expected to miss 2-4 weeks. He is eligible to be activated next week, but he is not expected to be healthy. It obviously depends on the severity of the sprain and the player, but Ducks' forward Pat Maroon only missed two weeks with a sprain MCL, so there is some optimism that Hall won't be out one month.
Hall was injured on Saturday night when he went crashing into the post. Hall had been off to a great start, scoring 10 points (6G / 4A) in the first 11 games. Edmonton is going to be in trouble without Hall for at least two weeks, but they have talent that can step up in his absence, it is just a matter of if they do or not.

The trip starts Tuesday in Philly and goes until the following Tuesday in Nashville. Hall will stay in Edmonton and be evaluated by the medical staff and a detailed injury report will likely be released in the next 24 hours. It sounds like the injury is not too serious, so he could potentially join the team in the middle of the trip.
Following Saturday's game, head coach Dallas Eakins had no update on Hall's status, but he was spotted leaving the arena with no crutches or walking boot, which is positive news that the injury might not be too severe. Losing Hall would be a huge loss for the Oilers, but with two days off before their next game, he could be back.
Gostisbehere, 21, was the Flyers third round pick (78th overall) in 2012. The 5-foot-11, 170 lbs. D-man has two assists in three games in his first full year in the AHL. He is expected to make his NHL debut on Saturday vs. the Red Wings because of an injury to Andrew MacDonald.
Fast was a healthy scratch in each of the Rangers last two games. He had zero points with three shots and minus-1 rating in the first three games of the year.
Staal had a bad year in 2013-14 and the Hurricanes were looking for a bounce-back season, but this is not a good start. The injury likely means that Elias Lindholm will be thrust into a larger role this season. Don't expect to see Staal until late December or mid-January.
Staal was injured in a collision with Sabres' defenseman Josh Gorges. He left the ice unable to put any weight on his leg and was seen leaving the rink on crutches with a cast on his ankle/foot. Head coach Bill Peters did not have an update on Staal, but did say "I'm concerned, for sure." Stall will return to Carolina to be reevaluated.
Ehlers, 18, was selected ninth overall in the draft this summer. He has tremendous speed and an excellent wrist shot. He posted 49 goals and 55 assists (104 points) in 63 games with the Halifax Mooseheads last season. Ehlers was named the CHL's rookie of the year. He stands in at 5-foot-11, but needs to fill out (163 lbs.) to play in the NHL. He will probably return to juniors for one more season.
Deslauriers averaged 13:10 TOI and scored one goal with a minus-9 rating in 16 games with the Sabres. He heads back to the AHL where he had 39 points (18G / 21A) in 60 games with Manchester. He has not suited up for the Rochester Americans after being acquired at the deadline from L.A.
