Kase is expected to miss five-to-six months due to shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum, so his movement to LTIR is simply a formality to clear a roster spot for Corey Perry to be activated ahead of Saturday’s game.

Hall will miss 14th consecutive game with a lower-body injury but did skate in New Jersey prior to the Devils practice on Sunday. Skating is an encouraging sign that Hall shouldn’t be too far away but he certainly is not healing as quick as they originally expected.
Gardiner missed Sunday’s game vs. the Coyotes but was on the ice for Wednesday’s morning skate but head coach Mike Babcock was non-committal on him playing tonight. If Gardiner doesn’t play, Travis Dermott will remain on the second power-play unit.

Tonight he faces a Capitals team on the tail-end of a back-to-back and on a six-game losing streak (0-4-2).
Gardiner took part in the Maple Leafs morning skate but back spasms must have flared up this afternoon. Martin Marincin is expected to replace Gardiner vs. the Coyotes.
Kase will not be in the lineup on Saturday and will be out into the All-Star break due to an upper-body injury. Sam Carrick was recalled rom San Diego (AHL) to take Kase’s spot on the roster.
Kase was forced to leave Thursday’s game in Minnesota and is not expected to play on Saturday afternoon due to an upper-body injury. Kase has cooled off as of late, picking up just one assist in his last seven games but this would be a huge loss for a Ducks team trying to fight back into the playoff picture in the Western Conference.

The Maple Leafs did not play well against Colorado and will need to be significantly better tonight if they want a chance vs. the Lightning. Andersen allowed four goals on 21 shots in a 4-1 loss in his first start in Tampa Bay.
