
Necas has high-end offensive ability and registered 15 points (7G / 8A) in 41 games en route to a Championship with HC Kometa Brno of the Czech Republic’s top league. Necas has great speed and creativity and brings a ton of compete to the Hurricanes' farm system.
Makar led all AJHL defensemen in goals (24), assists (51) and points (75) while suiting up in 54 games for the Brooks Bandits. Makar is a strong skater with great vision and should excel as a puck-moving/offensive defenseman in the NHL.
Drouin was the No.3 overall pick in the 2013 draft and carried his success in the 2015-16 playoffs into 2016-17, when he scored 21 goals with 32 assists (53 points) in 73 games. The Canadiens ranked 15th in the NHL in scoring a season ago and Drouin should help them push for the top 10 in 2018.
Parise left Tuesday's game after taking a dangerous high stick to the eye. On Wednesday, head coach Bruce Boudreau said that Parise was not seriously injured, but he is expected to miss at least one game. With Parise likely sidelined, Joel Eriksson Ek is expected to draw into the lineup on Thursday.
Helm has missed the last four games with a lower-body injury, but will be a game-time decision tonight in Carolina. There is no word on who will sit if Helm is able to play.
Helm left Saturday’s game vs. the Avalanche with a lower-leg injury and will miss at least tonight's game vs. the Sabres and Tuesday's game in Montreal. With Helm out, Tomas Nosek is expected to draw into the lineup.
Tynan failed to record a point while firing three shots in 7:29 TOI/GM in his first three NHL games during his call-up. With Matt Calvert (oblique) ready to play on Monday, Tynan returns to the AHL where he has seven goals and 23 assists (30 points) in 55 games.
Wood missed Sunday’s game vs. the Blue Jackets, but will play tonight. Wood has seen an increased role recently and comes into Tuesday with eight goals and seven assists (15 points) in 45 games.
Tynan, 25, was a third round pick (No.66 overall) in 2011 and he is expected to make his NHL debut on Monday. Tynan was recalled because Josh Anderson is out with a knee injury. He has registered seven goals and 23 assists (30 points) in 55 games with Cleveland this season.
