Merkley played 12:23 in Vancouver on Saturday but will be scratched in favour of Nicolas Meloche on Tuesday.



Landeskog underwent a procedure on his knee in mid-March and resumed skating this week. All signs are pointing toward Landeskog being on track to be ready for Game 1 of the playoffs.

Girard has been out since March 8th but is set to return to the lineup on Friday. With Girard back, the Avalanche blueline will likely look exactly how they are expecting heading into the playoffs. Girard has scored five goals with 22 assists (27 points) in 56 games this season.

Nichushkin missed Tuesday's game in Pittsburgh but will play Friday in Winnipeg. Nichushkin has quietly had an outstanding season, tallying 19 goals with 21 assists (40 points) in 51 games. Recently he's played an expanded role, averaging an incredible 21:25 TOI/gm in his last 11 games.

Merkley was a minus-1 in 14:10 TOI on Tuesday but will be replaced by Nicolas Meloche tonight vs. the Flames.




Merkley was a healthy scratch vs. the Stars on Saturday but will replace Nicolas Meloche in the lineup on Tuesday. Merkley has picked up one goal and four assists (five points) in 28 games this season.

Nichushkin is dealing with a non-COVID illness and is questionable to play on Tuesday. He didn't travel with the team initially but is currently on his way to Pittsburgh and may play against the Penguins.

Kelly, who will be playing in his first NHL game since March 16th, will replace Tyler Ennis in the lineup in Montreal. Kelly has scored five goals with one assist while averaging just 9:41 TOI/gm in 27 games with Ottawa this season.



Attard was a third-round pick in 2019 and recently signed his entry-level contract following his third year at Western Michigan University. He will replace Keith Yandle, who will be a healthy scratch, snapping his ironman streak.


MacKinnon missed Tuesday's game in Calgary with an upper-body injury that he suffered in a fight with Matt Dumba on Sunday. The Avalanche said that concern was "high" on Tuesday but it appears MacKinnon's re-evaluation went well and he should play vs. the Sharks. MacKinnon has picked up 27 points (13G / 14A) in his last 20 games.

Lehkonen will replace Nathan MacKinnon (upper-body) in the lineup on Tuesday. Lehkonen will skate on the second line with Alex Newhook and Andre Burakovskiy and has 29 points (13G / 16A) in 58 games this season.
