Rantanen (concussion) is out on Tuesday but is progressing and feeling better.

Rantanen took part in a skate before Colorado's practice Monday but has been announced Tuesday vs. Minnesota as he will be his second-straight game due to a concussion. Avalanche fans can breathe as the 27-year-old is expected back sooner rather than later as he will be likely taking part in the morning skate Tuesday regardless of his in-game distinction. His 102 points in 77 games in 2023-24 marks his second straight 100+ point campaign.

Bourque has been recalled from Texas (AHL) on Friday.

Bourque was the 30th overall pick of the Dallas Stars in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. The 22-year-old leads the AHL with 72 points (26G / 46A) in 66 games but has yet to play an NHL game. He could be reunited in Dallas with Logan Stankoven, his linemate in Texas for the first 47 games of the season.

Oettinger will start on Wednesday vs. Edmonton.

The Stars will turn to Oettinger for a third straight game as they look to set a franchise-best eight-game winning streak. Oettinger has had an up-and-down season but has been stellar lately, allowing two or fewer goals in five straight (5-0-0), including making 17 saves in his last outing, a 3-0 victory over the Seattle Kraken for his second shutout of the season. The Stars enter action as -118 home favourites against the Edmonton Oilers.

Ceci (illness) missed practice on Friday and will be a game-time decision on Saturday vs. Anaheim.

Ceci was absent from the Oilers' morning skate on Friday due to a lingering illness and will be a game-time decision on Saturday vs. Anaheim. If the 30-year-old defenseman is unable to go, Troy Stecher will likely take his spot in the lineup. Ceci has yet to miss a game this season as he has three goals, 21 points, 86 SOG and a +6 plus/minus through 71 games played so far.

DeSmith will start against the Stars on Thursday.

With Thatcher Demko still sidelined due to injury, the Canucks will continue to roll with DeSmith in the net. DeSmith has started six straight and saw his three-game winning streak snapped in his last outing when he allowed three goals on 19 shots (.842 SV%) in a 3-2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings.
