Oettinger was recalled to serve as Anton Khudobin’s backup on Tuesday but his return to the AHL suggests that Ben Bishop (lower-body) will suit up Thursday in Nashville.


It sounds like Ben Bishop is dealing with a minor lower-body injury, so Oettinger is expected to serve as Anton Khudobin's backup on Tuesday. Oettinger has gone 12-16-4 with a 2.62 GAA and .912 SV% in 35 AHL games this season.

With very few weeks left in the regular season, Erne could be done for 2020. The bottom-6 winger has tallied just five points (2G / 3A) in 56 games this season.





Lyubushkin missed Saturday's game vs. the Blackhawks but will draw back into the lineup on Tuesday. Lyubushkin, who has two assists in 35 games this season, is expected to replace Kyle Capobianco on the blueline.

Hintz missed the last two games with an upper-body injury but is set to play tonight in New York. Not only does it look like he'll play but it looks like Hintz will be on the top-line with Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin on his wings. Hintz has 15 goals with nine assists (24 points) in 42 games this season.

Hintz was on the ice for Friday's practice and Saturday's morning skate but will miss his second straight games with an upper-body injury. With Hintz and Justin Dowling out, Joel Kiviranta was recalled from the AHL and will play in New Jersey.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson was forced to leave Thursday's game with a lower-body injury, so Capobianco returns to the NHL where he has one goal in eight games this season.


Hintz left Monday's game with an upper-body after his first shift and did not return. Head coach Rick Bowness said that Hintz is day-to-day and will not play vs. the Maple Leafs.

Faksa missed the last three games with a lower-body injury but will play tonight vs. the Lightning. Faksa, who will centre Andrew Cogliano and Blake Comeau, has 16 points (9G / 7A) in 45 games this season.

Faksa will miss his third straight game with a lower-body injury but has been moved to IR to make room for Stephen Johns (head) to be activated.

Heiskanen was forced to leave Thursday's game vs. the Sabres with an "upper-body injury" that he suffered when he was kneed in the head. Heiskanen is in concussion protocol, so he'll be replaced by Stephen Johns on Saturday.

Capobianco has appeared in seven NHL games already this year but has spent most of the year in the AHL, where he has four goals and 16 assists (20 points) in 23 games. He has one goal in 10 career NHL games.
