Kane's (knee) status for game 1 is uncertain.

Kane missed the final 12 games of the regular season after suffering a sprained knee. Kane said he felt ‘’pretty good’’ after Monday’s workout. But he acknowledged ‘’we’ll know a little bit more’’ after practicing with the team Tuesday and Wednesday. Even then, until Game 1, the status of Kane’s recovery will be up in the air.

Patrick Kane
Talbot will start for the Rangers.

Talbot stopped all 26 shots that he faced in a win over the Oilers on March 30th. He was a spectator in the last five games, but will get the call tonight vs. the Habs. Talbot posted a 22-save shutout in his first career start against Montreal. His 1.67 GAA and .940 SV% on the season make him a great spot start option whenever he's in goal.

The Red WIngs have recalled Petr Mrazek from Grand Rapids (AHL).

It turns out that Jordan Coreau was only recalled for the Red WIngs morning skate, but it will be Mrazek who will backup Jimmy Howard tonight vs. the Hurricanes. Mrazek is 1-4-0 with a 2.01 GAA and .916 SV% with the Red Wings this season. He has been spectacular with the Griffins, going 22-8-1 with a 2.07 GAA and .925 SV% in 31 games.

Talbot is the confirmed starter for the Rangers on Sunday.

Talbot stopped 24 of 26 shots in a loss to the Wild on March 13th. Tonight, Talbot will make only his second start in March. Henrik Lundqvist is back to his old for which leaves Talbot on the bench most nights. He makes for a nice Sunday spot-start in Edmonton tonight. He has gone 7-3-0 with a 1.55 GAA and .942 SV% on the road this season.

The Blackhawks have placed Kane (knee) on long-term injured reserve, he is done for the rest of the regular season.

Kane's placement on LTIR means he has to miss the next 24 days of play which spans until the end of the regular season for the Hawks. If you are in a one-year format, Kane can be dropped. The Blackhawks are confident that Kane will be ready to go for game-1 of the playoffs. Teuvo Teravainen will join the Blackhawks today, could be a fill-in for the injured Kane.

Patrick Kane
Kane will be out at least three weeks after sustaining a lower-body injury during the second period of Wednesday's win.

Kane could be in danger of missing the remainder of the regular season, which would be a huge blow to your fantasy roster. Kane's left leg was hit after teammate Sheldon Brookbank checked Blues forward Brendan Morrow to the ice along the boards. Morrow hit Kane's left leg and he fell awkwardly to the ice. The three-week mark would have him back on April 10th, with the regular season wrapping up on April 13th, it is tough to see him playing again before the playoffs.

Patrick Kane
Tarasenko will miss six weeks after undergoing surgery on his hand.

Tarasenko injured his right hand against Nashville over the weekend, will undergo surgery Wednesday. Tarasenko had a goal against the Predators, giving him six points during a five-game streak. The 22-year-old right wing is tied for second on the team with 21 goals. The Blues recalled forward Dmitrij Jaskin from the AHL on an emergency basis.

Talbot starts on Thursday.

After a busy Olympics for Henrik Lundqvist, Talbot will get the start in the first game back for the Rangers. He stopped 29 of 31 shots in a loss to the Oilers in his last start. He has gone 10-5-0 with a 1.79 GAA and .935 SV% in his rookie season. He will be in tough on Thursday with the Blackhawks coming to MSG.

Talbot is the confirmed Rangers starter.

Talbot gave up four goals on 36 shots in a loss to the Islanders in his last start back on January 21. What once looked like a goalie controversy, but was never really a goalie controversy, is not even close to a goalie controversy now. Henrik Lundqvist is the unquestioned number-1 and Talbot can be used as a strong matchup spot-start. Tonight he has a good matchup with the Oilers coming into MSG.

Kane will miss Friday's game to attend his grandfather's funeral.

Kane found out about his grandfather Donald's death just before the Blackhawks' 5-3 victory over the Kings that night. He went on to record two goals and an assist, pointing to the sky after his first goal of the night to honor his grandfather. Friday is the Blackhawks last game before the Olympic break, so up next for Kane is Sochi with Team USA. Look for him to be back on the ice with the Blackhawks on February 27 in New York.

The Red Wings have reassigned Petr Mrazek to Grand Rapids (AHL).

Mrazek has been good when called upon this season. The 21-year-old is 1-3-0 with a 1.64 GAA and .924 SV% with the Red Wings this season. His demotion tells us that Jimmy Howard is ready to return on Tuesday in Philadelphia.
