Smith will start Monday vs. the Sabres.

Smith stopped 34 of 35 shots in the Flames loss to the Jets on Saturday. The loss snapped a six-game winning streak for Smith, who has stopped an impressive 227 of the last 240 shots (.946 SV%) that he has faced. Smith has been playing great and he is a must-start tonight vs. the lowly Sabres.

Smith allowed one goal on 39 shots in the Flames win in Carolina last Sunday. Smith has won six consecutive games while allowing just 12 goals on 205 shots (.941 SV%). This afternoon he will face the 26-13-7 Jets and comes in at 11-10-0 with a 2.91 GAA and .904 SV% on home ice.

Arvidsson reportedly had to be helped off of the ice this afternoon, which doesn’t bode well for his availability for Tuesday’s game vs. the Golden Knights. Arvidsson will likely be evaluated this afternoon and the Predators will likely release a timetable prior to tomorrow’s game if he is going to miss any time.
