Smith stopped 34 of 35 shots in the Flames loss to the Jets on Saturday. The loss snapped a six-game winning streak for Smith, who has stopped an impressive 227 of the last 240 shots (.946 SV%) that he has faced. Smith has been playing great and he is a must-start tonight vs. the lowly Sabres.

Arvidsson reportedly had to be helped off of the ice this afternoon, which doesn’t bode well for his availability for Tuesday’s game vs. the Golden Knights. Dermott had one assist while averaging 14:12 TOI/GM in his two-game stint with the Maple Leafs. The Leafs bye week starts on Thursday so Dermott heads back to the Marlies to keep playing but could return to the big club after their break.
Murray has been sidelined since November 27th but skated by himself on Saturday and was a full participant with his teammates today. Murray remains without a timetable but returning to practice is a good sign he may be back soon.
Carrick will get back into the lineup after being a healthy scratch on Monday. Carrick is in a rotation with Andreas Borgman and Travis Dermott, so look for him to be in the lineup for at least the next two games.
