Walman appears set to return from an illness on Friday.

The team did not announce his return ahead of Friday's game, but Walman is listed as being in the Red Wings lineup per the official roster report on NHL.com. Walman lasted played on January 11th, missing the last three games with the illness. He has nine goals and eight assists in 38 games this season.

Skinner will start Thursday vs. Seattle.

Skinner will start for the third straight game on Thursday as the Oilers attempt for a harrowing 12th straight victory. In his last seven games (7-0-0), Skinner has allowed two or fewer goals in each contest, posting a tremendous .954 SV%. The Oilers are sizeable -230 home favourites in a divisional matchup against the Seattle Kraken, who have lost two straight after seeing their nine-game winning streak come to an end earlier this week.

Kapanen (ankle) was placed on the Injured Reserve and will be re-evaluated in four weeks.

Kapanen seemingly had no issue in the Blues' last game, playing 15:47 time-on-ice, above his season average, but has been placed on the injured reserve with an ankle injury and is expected to miss at least four weeks. Kapanen has struggled in his first full season with the Blues, scoring only 13 points (4G / 9A) in 42 games, his worst point-per-game pace (0.31) since his rookie season in 2017-18 with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
