Jarry will start Friday in Brooklyn.

Jarry stopped 16 of 17 shots before leaving Tuesday’s game in Philadelphia with an undisclosed injury. Despite leaving the game, Jarry was back on the ice on Thursday and backed up Matt Murray. Jarry will start the tail-end of the back-to-back and has a nice matchup against an Islanders team that has lost four straight and 11 of their last 15 (4-9-2).

Dickinson will be in the Stars lineup on Tuesday.

Dickinson was recalled from Texas (AHL) at the end of last week and will play tonight vs. Columbus. The 22-year-old has yet to pick up a point in five NHL games, but has 13 goals and three assists in 24 games games with Texas. Dickinson will play with Remi Elie out with an illness.

Matt Murray returned to the crease in Detroit on Sunday, but the Penguins will give Jarry another look tonight in Philadelphia. The young netminder faced the Flyers earlier this season, stopping eight of 10 shots in a relief in a 5-4 OT win.

The Maple Leafs have sent Calvin Pickard to Toronto (AHL).

Pickard allowed four goals on 28 shots in the Maple Leafs loss in Colorado last Friday. He got the nod because Curtis McElhinney was hurt but with McElhinney back at practice today, Pickard returns to the Marlies where he is enjoying a strong year.

Pickard has gone 10-5-0 with a 2.20 GAA and .919 SV% in 15 games with the Marlies this season. With Curtis McElhinney hurt, it looks like Pickard will start against his former team tonight in Colorado. Pickard has gone 28-44-6 with a 2.77 GAA and .914 SV% in 86 career NHL games (all with Colorado).

Jarry was pulled after allowing three goals on 16 shots in the Penguins loss to the Maple Leafs on Saturday. After winning his first four games with Matt Murray out, Jarry has now lost two of his last three while allowing 10 goals on 71 shots (.859 SV%). Tonight he will face an Avalanche team that has lost six of their last eight (2-5-1).

Dickinson has not registered a point in four games with Dallas but has picked up an impressive 13 goals and one assist (14 points) in 20 games with Texas. Dickinson will likely replace Antoine Roussel (elbow) in the lineup and will centre the fourth line.

Jarry allowed three goals on 26 shots in the Penguins win over the Islanders on Thursday. In his last six appearances, Jarry has posted a 2.21 GAA, .928 SV% and one shutout and he will continue to start tonight with Mattu Murray still on the shelf. He will take on a Maple Leafs team that has won three of their last four contests.
