Ekblad has not played since suffering an undisclosed injury on April 2nd but will be ready for the start of the playoffs. Verhaeghe will return to the lineup sooner than anticipated and play on Tuesday against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Before his injury, Verhaeghe scored 71 points (34G / 37A) in 75 games and was on pace to set a career-high in points.

Eller is battling an illness and his status was up in the air for Thursday's matchup against the Detroit Red Wings. Eller has 29 points (15G / 14A) in 78 games this season. The Penguins recalled Radim Zohorna on Wednesday as a precaution.

Schmid was recalled from the Utica Comets (AHL) on Tuesday as a result of Kaapo Kahkonen battling a lower-body injury. The 23-year-old Schmid has split time between the AHL and NHL this season but has struggled at both levels, posting a 3.15 GAA and .895 SV% in 19 games with the Devils (5-9-1).

Balinskis will draw back into Florida's lineup on Tuesday vs. Ottawa.

Balinskis started the season with the Panthers due to several injuries on the blueline but has spent most of the season with the Charlotte Checkers (AHL), scoring 21 points (3G / 18A) in 37 games. He had a four-game stint with the Panthers in mid-March, last playing on March 26th. Oliver Ekman-Larsson will be a healthy scratch for the Panthers on Tuesday.
