Marchand is just returning from offseason hip surgery and will likely need a night's rest after returning almost a month ahead of schedule for the Bruins' 5-1 victory last night. Marchand did not miss a beat as he had two goals and an assist while playing 17:31 TOI. He will be back in the Bruins' lineup their next time out as this is nothing more than a day of rest.

Bobrovsky will be looking to bounce back after dropping his previous start 4-2 in an 18-save (.857 SV%) loss Tuesday. He carries a .908 SV% and 2.85 GAA into the start to go along with his 2-2-1 record. The Panthers will take on Philadelphia, who lost their last game 3-0 to the Sharks off the second game of a back to back.

Yesterday the Bruins said that Marchand would not play the next two games, but Marchand will be in the lineup vs. Detroit on Thursday. The Bruins said he will not play in the back-to-back set, so he'll sit Friday in Columbus. Marchand will debut on a line with Patrice Bergeron and Jake DeBrusk.

Marchand was initially expected to be back by late-November but it sounds like he will play in the next week or two, putting him way ahead of schedule. Marchand, who had 80 points (32G / 48A) in 70 games last season, is expected to skate on a line with Patrice Bergeron and Jake DeBrusk and on PP1 when he's healthy.

Bobvorsky enters Tuesday after losing his last start in overtime allowing three goals on 32 shots (.906 SV%) as the Panthers were downed by Tampa Bay. He has enjoyed a strong start to the season so far, getting the Panthers points in three of his four starts (2-1-1) while posting a .916 SV% and 2.78 GAA. He shouldn't face a ton of shots Tuesday as the Blackhawks rank 30th in the NHL in SOG per game (25.0) but have won their last three games scoring 4 or more goals in each victory.

Greer missed the Bruins' previous 4-3 loss but will draw back into Boston's lineup Tuesday. He has been a fan favourite early on in his Bruins career, scoring three goals and five points through his first five games to start the 2022-23 season.

It will be a second straight start for Tarasov after he got his first career win in a 30-save (.968 SV%) 5-1 victory over the New York Rangers last time out. He brings his .912 SV% and high 3.33 GAA into his fourth start of the season. The Blue Jackets draw the easier task of the 1-4-0 Arizona Coyotes, who rank last in the NHL in SOG (24.0) and 28th in GF/GP (2.6).

Bobrovsky stopped 29 of 33 shots in a 4-3 victory over the Philadephia Flyers Wednesday. The 13-year-veteran has enjoyed a solid start to the season as his .919 SV% and 2.75 GAA have allowed him to take the majority of the Panthers' starts early on. Florida will host the Tampa Bay Lightning who have struggled to a 1-3-0 early on, ranking 27th in goals with 2.5 GF/GP.

Studnicka appeared in 15 games last season, picking up three assists and 21 shots. Studnicka will replace Jakub Lauko in the lineup and centre the third line with Trent Frederic and Charlie Coyle.

Ekblad left Monday's game with a lower-body injury and has landed on LTIR, which means he'll miss at least 10 goals or 24 days. The Panthers have yet to provide a timeline on his injury but this is obviously terrible news for a team that was already thin on the blueline.

Bobrovsky will take the crease for his third start of the season Wednesday as the Florida Panthers host the undefeated Philadelphia Flyers at home. The 13-year veteran has played exceptional in the early part of the year, stopping 61 of his first 66 shots on goal while earning a 1-1-0 record. He will be looking for his second victory of the young season after sharing the league lead in wins in 2021-22 (39).

Bobrovsky will get his second start of the season in a battle of undefeated teams as Florida heads to Boston Monday for an Atlantic showdown. The 34-year-old enjoyed a fantastic opening night victory over the New York Islanders, stopping 32 of 33 shots on way to a 3-1 final scoreline. Bobrovsky has impressively won 40 of his last 54 starts as a member of the Florida Panthers.

Marchand took part in practice for the first time on Sunday, which was a great sign that he could be available ahead of schedule in recovery. He's still not close to returning to game action, but he may miss the minimum amount of time on LTIR (10 games or 24 days).
