Jones suffered a sprain and hairline fracture of his ankle on Saturday and underwent surgery on Tuesday. Jones will miss a minimum of two months, which will sideline him for the rest of the regular season but could allow him to be ready for the start of the playoffs should the Blue Jackets qualify.

Bennett was sick this morning and missed the game-day skate, so look for Zac Rinaldo to replace him on the fourth line if Bennett can't play.

Jones went crashing hard into the Avalanche net in Saturday's home loss but finished the game, playing 23:25 TOI. However, ahead of their game with the Lightning on Monday, the Blue Jackets announced they'll be without Jones indefinitely. This is obviously a serious blow for Columbus and could change their plans heading into the trade deadline. David Savard seems like a prime candidate to move up to the top pair with Zach Werenski.

Bobrovsky was pulled after he allowed six goals on 29 shots in the Panthers loss to the Golden Knights on Thursday. This loss wasn't on Bobrovsky, the Panthers were absolutely dominated by Vegas the entire game. Barkov missed the last three games with a lower-body injury but head coach Joel Quenneville said that "he looks good" and will play vs. the Penguins on Saturday. The Panthers went 1-1-1 while being outscored 11-to-7 in the three games without Barkov, who has two assists in two games vs. the Penguins this season.

Barkov joined his teammates for the morning skate but will not play vs. Vegas. The fact that he was able to skate this morning is a great sign that he's close and his teammates expect him back in the lineup on Saturday.

Mikkola has one assist in his first five career NHL games this season. He has spent most of the year in the AHL, where he has collected 11 points (2G / 9A) in 33 games. The 23-year-old could be a full-time member of the St. Louis blueline in 2021.

With Jeff Skinner returning from an upper-body injury on Tuesday, Rodrigues will be scratched for the sixth time in 10 games. It's been a disastrous season for the 26-year-old, who has just two goals and three assists (five points) in 28 games.
